World War II Veteran and Fort Wayne Firefighter Retiree, Norman "Pete" Rouch passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009.   Born on December 31, 1923,  Norman Rouch enlisted in the US ARMY in 1942.  After serving his country he was hired by the Fort Wayne Fire Department on March 1, 1954.  Assigned badge number 23, Rouch retired in 1980.  He remained active with the Fire Department attending the annual 20-year Club celebrations and monthly retiree breakfasts.  He will be missed.
