As of this week, thirty-two firefighters in Muncie have been laid off. Muncie Local 1348 has been hit hard, not only by the economy and declining revenues, but a mayor who wouldn’t compromise even when it saved money, kept jobs, and preserved the safety of Muncie’s citizens.

On Monday, July 6th, Muncie City Council Meeting will be voting on a Public Safety LOIT.  Join firefighters from Muncie and surrounding cities, as they walk streets of Muncie to show support for this vote.   The walk starts at 5:30 pm at the Muncie Field House (501 north Walnut St. Muncie, IN  47305) and ends at Muncie Hall (300 North High St. - about one block away).  Please wear a gold or yellow shirt.
